The Reason Why Durham School Teachers Leave….

the school district is poor working conditions says a 2005-2006 teacher turnover report.  Around 1 in 5 teachers will not return next year.

The teachers says that facilities, training, school leadership and time given to plan lessons are worse than other school districts in the state.

The school district has stated to use teacher mentors for the new teachers and that has worked in getting more teacher to stay in the school district.
