comparing Common Core State Standards to five sets of comparison standards including IB. They found the Common Core standard matched up well with the five comparison standards.

I say it is better to compare the Common Core with countries like Finland, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc… instead.

The College Board Is Out With A 2011 Look At College Prices…

They have found that public 4 years over the past year have seen a 7.0% increase in tuition over the past year minus California. With California thrown in the increase grows to 8.3%.

Average grant aid at 4-year public colleges was 5.750 bucks. At private schools it was 15,530 bucks.

The rest of the report is fill with data showing the ever increasing costs to go to college.

In some related news president Obama wants college students to be able to consolidate loans to save on interest rates and lower the amount of time to pay off all your college loans.
