Consortium On Chicago School Research….

August 15, 2007 By: richard.ginn Category: Uncategorized

reports on Chicago Area high school students.

In the data filled report:

47% of high school freshman do not fail a class, while a whopping 12% fail 8+.
16%, the highest percentage of freshman listed get an average 2.0 GPA. The graduation rate though is 72%
35%, the highest percentage of freshman listed are absence 5-9 days. The graduation rate though for this group is only 63%.

It was interesting to see that only missing just 5-9 days of school in your freshman year had such a major impact in high school graduation rates.
