four working papers on national certified teachers.

In a look at the North Carolina schools in grades 3, 4 and five found that certified teachers were better than non-certified teachers. In a look at the Florida schools in grades 3-10 though they found that certified teachers only worked in some grades, some subjects, or some tests.

In one report they showed that the poorer the school the less likely they are going to have a certified teacher in the classroom.
