Highereducation.org Releases….
a new study on California Community Colleges.
Major findings from this study include affordability problems with fess not being the main cause, CalGrants are not keeping up with financial needs, people in California are missing out on a lot of federal money, and enrollment losses due to cuts in classes.
What they would like to see happen is increase tuition based on the growth of personal income in the state. They want the tuition increase to go programs that will increase graduation rates. They would like to see increase investment in CalGrants.
The reports does get into some nice details on the major findings.
