looking at schools in the Chicago Area.

This report says for 2008 no high school met Illinois state standard of performance and that all 56,949 students attending these schools need better performing high school options.

They found that schools in the west past of Chicago and in the southern part of Chicago are in the most need of better schools.

They showcase 17 areas in Chicago that have wound up on both the 2004 list and 2008 list for areas that need better schools.
