A Couple Of Atlanta Regional Council For Higher Education Reports…
are out….
The first report looks at the benefits of going to college.
They found that people in Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree make almost twice the amount of people in Georgia with a high school diploma.
They showcase having a bachelor’s degree will increase salary over time vrs. someone with only a high school degree and that from 2000-2007 people with only a high school degree saw a whole lot less job gains compared with people that had a bachelor’s degree. Public assistance spending is way down for people that have at least a bachelor’s degree. 30% of high school only grads live in poverty vrs less than 5% for people with at least a bachelor’s.
The second one showcases the economic impact to Georgia due to the colleges in the Atlanta area.
