A privately funded initiative in Peoria Illinois is going to allow students who graduate from high school in the local area tuition at the Illinois Central college. The College is a two-year school.

College Debt Advice From Recent Grads….

is the subject of a new article from the USA Today. They have a nice map of the USA with rollover dots that showcase the person, college they went to, debt they have, and some advice.

Some of the advice that shows up the most is don’t spend on what you do not have to, skip using credit cards to pay for your education, and going to some place cheaper. The debt levels posted range from under 10 grand all the way up to over 100,000 in just college loan debt.

The article stated that 68% of the people polled thought the college experience was worth it, but 44% though the cost was not worth the value of the degree.

showcase that taking AP classes are worth it. One study looked at 222,289 college students in Texas Universities and it found higher graduation rates and higher GPA’S.

are to blame for the slow start of E-textbooks for college students.  An E-textbook can cost 40-50% less than a regular paper version.

The article says that publishers and book store operators think including videos with an E-textbook will sell more books.  I would love to see that.

University Of Kentucky Students…
