on money being the key decider when it comes to college choice.The Newspaper surveyed 423 top students and found that even straight a’s are not enough to guarantee a student goes to their first choice pick due to rising tuition.

approves tougher standards on the ACT exam in order for a student to be guaranteed admission into a college for a degree granting program. The ACT score to get in now is 18 points for both math and reading, but if the increase is passed it will go up to 19 points for math and 21 points for reading.

has tentatively approved a 12.6% tuition increase. If the state comes in with more funding they will lower the tuition increase.

and crammed says an article by the New York Times. At a college in Dakar they have only 5,000 dorm beds for 60,000 students. Rent is so high in the area students crams themselves into some of the dorm rooms.

has been proposed for the University of Kansas. Under the proposal instate students this fall would pay $3,408 per semester for four years. instate students this year paid around $2,750 for tuition.
