They say 60% in 2008 are borrowing money to go to college compared to 52% in 1996.

The amount of borrowing for a bachelors degree is 23,000 vs 17,000 in 1996.

24% of people though at for profit schools though borrowed more than 40 grand compared with 5% of graduates at public institutions and 14% at not-for-profit schools.

They say debt levels are to high for students going to these schools.

The report does look at the six-year graduation rate and found a couple places that look okay, butttt The University of Phoenix has a six year graduation rate of only 9%.

The population thigh at for-profit schools have gone through the roof compared to other types of colleges.
