The Detroit School Board…
has voted to postpone a plan that would trim 362 million bucks from the 2009 budget. That trimming would include 2,200 job cuts. School Board President Carla Scott says that cuts have to be made, but does not want them to be so drastic.
This school district is so much in debt now any move they have to make is going to be drastic. They need a balanced budget big time and find a way to stop students from leaving the school district pronto.
