with a report looking at the California exit exam and students in the San Diego area.

The people behind the report say they can predict passage of the exam by the fourth grade just as well as they can in the ninth grade.

Figure S.4, page 15 on the report, is the one you want to look at in this report. It showcases the strength of the model that they used. The data is very close between the 4th and 9th grade levels which totally shows the model they used works.

I say since they have a model that I feel works, the whole state must use this model and intervene on students at the very low end of the model in the fourth and fifth grade levels. This model just might work as well in other states that have exit exams for students.
