Californa Charter Schools Association Report….

on charter school performance is out.

The report says that the LA school district has 125 charter schools and 742 traditional public schools.

Charter schools in the area had a median base of 711 while the traditional schools had a median base of 697. The gap was biggest in the high school area with a 100 point gap between the charter and traditional schools.

This is one nice looking report, but it is very limited to looking at API scores which California has. NAEP scores could show something different, graduation rates could show something different, etc….
