The 2007 list now includes 76 colleges that have a massive 1 billion dollar plus endowment and an average gain from the 785 listed places of around 17%. Only a couple places showed a drop in the endowment.

The spending rate though from colleges on the list with an endowment over 500 million is a cruddy 4.4%.

This easily shows a whole lot more can be spent by a hundreds of this schools. A look at just the top 76 shows a list of mainly pricey places to get a college education.
