The #1 college on the list in Grinnell College with a 1.5 Billion endowment. They have around 1,700 undergrad students who pay around 40 grand a year to go to the college. The 40 grand number includes the room. The article though says that Grinnell paid out 23 million in grants and scholarships in the 2005-2006 school year, but the endowment gain was around 10%.

If Grinnell can keep up the endowment gain like that they can easily afford to spend an extra 10-20 million a year on tuition.
