The Baltimore Sun Reports..

that African-American students in suburban schools in the state are have poor passing rates. The article states that just in the Baltimore county school around 1/3 of the nearly 2-dozen high schools had a passing rate of under 60%.

The Washington Post also comes out with an article on passing rates just for the algebra exam. They got data back from 19 of 24 school districts in the state including all of those in the Washington region and feel that the passing number of 51,000 the state gives is too high. The paper has a passing number 42,700.
