Phi Delta Kappa 2007 Poll Is Out…
The poll shows a big jump in people that do not like the NCLB bill. 31% in 2006 were somewhat or very unfavorable of the NCLB. In 2007 40% are.
9% more people then in 2006 have at least a fair amount of knowledge of the NCLB bill.
More people than ever say that schools in their local area are not going to meet 2014 proficiency goals.
More people say that the schools are putting too much of an emphasis on testing.
More people say that the local school board should have less say in what the students need to learn.
85% say that it is very or somewhat important for student to learn a foreign language.
