The New York Times reports on this New Jersey school that is now forcing freshman to select a major so they will have a specialized diploma when they graduate.

This is a nice idea, but if they do not wind up with a 2-year college degree or certificates of complete completion from a vocational major like plumbing when they graduate from high school all you are doing is given them crap.
