The Belmont 112 Article…
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports on 112 sixth-grade classmates at Belmont Elementary School in West Philadelphia who were given the opportunity 20 years ago of a free college education.
Out of the 112 sixty-five graduated with a high school diploma, 5 got a GED, 34 dropped out of high school, and 8 of them are dead. Only 20 students have a bachelor’s degree, 10 have an associates degree, and 14 have a vocational certificate.
Jobs some of the people hold are a hair stylist, a clothing designer, and a NASA worker. At least 2 of them though are in jail.
Included is a 5 minute plus video on the NASA worker.
