releases a new report on getting more science and math teachers into the classroom.

The report brings out the three R’s: Recruitment, Retention, and Renewal.

In recruitment they want to see higher salaries for these teachers. They also want to see more new programs in place to get teachers into the classroom.

In retention they also talk about higher salaries for teachers and they also want to policies and programs in place to combat things such as lack of administrative support.

In renewal they would like to see a revamp of teacher renewal programs to include measures of teacher effectiveness.

Chapter four which I like showcases a whole bunch of programs that attempt to recruit teachers, where the programs are used, and how they work.
