The Washing Post reports on this teacher that looks out for students who are ready to take first year of algebra in the 8th grade. The article states that over 50% of students in the Arlington middle schools are taking this class.

In a secondary link they show a table of who many students are taking this kind of class. Only one school district is showing a lower percent of students taking the algebra class in middle school.
