looks at how exit exams are influencing education in the schools districts in Jackson Mississippi, and in Austin Texas. This report is a nice read.

The data they got back was grouped into three categories: influences on curriculum and
instruction, supports for success, and pipeline to higher education.

Some of the data they found out is that these exit exams can detract from learning other things or even take other courses of study. They found that exit exam scores were not paid much attention at all on college transcripts.
