out with a new report looking at 22 KIPP middle schools.

They found that most students going into the KIPP schools are behind on their academics.

Black students represented more than 80 percent of the student body at 10 of the sample schools they looked at while Hispanics represented more than 80 percent of the student body at 4 of the sample schools.

They did find Impacts for large majorities of the 22 KIPP middle schools included in the study that are positive in both reading and math in all four years after students enter KIPP schools.
