with a new report looking at why college students do not finish college.

Some results and myths stated from the report:

The report sates 45% of college students in four year schools work more than 20 hours a week. 60% of community college students work over 20 hours a week with over 25% working 35 plus hours a week.

Myth 1 they say is students leave college because they are board. The reality they say it stress from working and going to college is so much they quit.

54% polled said it was a major reason to work and make money as to why they did not finish their college degree. 31% polled said college tution and fees was the major reason why they did not finish college.

65% polled who dropped out of college did think about going back to college. 53% said a major reason they do not go back to school is due to family commitments, 56% said it for not being able to do work and go to college at the same time.

Myth 2 says moth college students are supported by their families to pay for college. They say the reality is that young students who do not finish college are going it along to pay for college.

58% of those did not graduate said they had no help from parents, 69% said the same thing for financial aid, and also 69% said the same thing for student loans.

Myth 3 states that most students go through a meticulous process of choosing their college from an array of alternatives. They say the reality is that of students who did not graduate had a limited selection process on colleges.

MYTH 4 sated that students who did not graduate did understand fully the value of a college degree and the consequences and trade-offs of leaving school without one. The reality they stated is that students who do leave college realize that a diploma is an asset, but they may not fully recognize the impact dropping out of school will have on their future.

52% who dropped out said that having a college degree would make them more money. 50% who dropped out said that they know people making good money without a college degree.

78% of people that did not graduate and 83% of people that did graduate said that cutting the costs of attending college by 25% would help a lot in getting a college degree.

81% of people that did not graduate and72% of people that did say allowing part time students access to more financial aid would help more people get a college degree.
