has a report out looking at the effects of what happens when a school closes in the local school district.

They found that 42% of students when to another school that had bad performance, while only 6% transferred to a great school.

They found academic performance of students from closed schools to be same as it would have been three years down the road.

They also found graduation rates did not change at all.
