McKinsey & Company Out With A Report…
looking at the economic impact of the achievement gap in the school system. It is a data filled report showing a lot national and international test data.
They say that if the US closed the international achievement gap in 1998 to a county like Finland that in 2008 the GDP would have been 1.3-2.3 trillion more.
If only the Latino and Black achievement gap in the USA was closed by 1998 that in 2008 the GDP would have been between 310 and 525 billion higher. They continued to say it would even be higher in later years due to the growth in population in both of those races.
