Two Articles On Tougher Graduation Standards….
One comes from the Cleveland Plain Dealer where a new revision of graduation standards that the Gov. wants is not sitting well with the democrats in the House Education Committee. Students in the state of Ohio that want to go onto college must pass four years of math and three years of a lab based science class under the plan. Two years of a foreign language have been dropped from the plan.
The second one comes from the Houston Chronicle where the State Board of Education is ay odds over what classes will count toward the so-called “4-by-4” curriculum that has to be passed.
