on new state laws that force college professors to submit what college books they are going to use next semester in a timely manner and that they be listed on the institutes website. The article states that freshman entering college in the state will usually pay from 800 to 1500 bucks for textbooks this year.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith has created this program that is going to allow students in this program to get free tuition, food, room, books, and tutors for five years.

handing out state test scores until September 12th. That is around one month after kids are in school. The U.S Department of Education has okayed this move due to a change due to a change in the testing programs that state is using.
These scores are used for transfer of students that want to go to another school. In the 2005-06 school year, 70,526 were eligible for transfer, but only 320 students did transfer.
