The Des Moines Register reports on this college and a fair they had in order to get students to pick the right major for them. The article says that students with undeclared majors are up 10% since 2003.
The Baltimore Sun reports on this person that spent one year with a bunch of middle school students and then wrote her experiences on what she saw.
for math and reading and those scores are not good. Reading scores from 1992 are higher than the 2005 scores they looked at. Math scores for 2005 could not be compared to earlier scores due to a major difference in the exam. Sample questions for both subjects are given out, but the graphic for the reading question should have been much bigger so I could see it a whole lot better.
Now on the other hard the College Board which looks at AP test scores show a record high amount of students taking AP exams and a record high amount of students get a 3 or better on an AP exam.
