has released a new report on the displaced students from the Hurricane Katrina mess. The report states that schools with high percentage of enrollment by displaced students have seen higher problems. Problems such as staffing needs, high classroom sizes, and students missing class time.

of 100 school districts finds that only 7,230 teachers out of 252,000 math and reading teachers have taken a 120-hour training program that is designed to improve grades and improve academic content. This is far below the 176,000 teachers former Gov. Gry Davis wanted in the program.

The article says that people with college degrees have the highest unemployment rate in the country.

This school wants students to be bilingual so what this school does is have math and science classes taught entirely in Spanish while the social studies and language arts classes are in English.
