on the state graduation rate they ays that the Indiana Chamber of Commerce caculated the graduation rate eight different eay and came up with totally different results. The best graduation rate they could get wat 75% while the worst was 69.3%.

that colleges inside the state are taking in more students that are out of state in order to keep up with fewer students that staying in state to go to college.

The HISD Is Betting On….

full day pre-k. Students in these pre-k classes go for seven hours a day.  The school district hopes that the extra time specnt of instruction will lead to higher graduation rates down the road.

has a report up that cities need to form “career pathways” for students to build a more knowledge-based economy that is customized to the needs of the local area.  They looked at one city in Kentucky that lost 4,000 workers in the manufacturing sector and showcased how that city helped get training to people so they could find new work.
I would say that my idea to fix the educational system does what it needs to do to create a more knowledge-based economy ready to meet the needs of the 21st century job market. You could say that it is similar to the idea they have.

that the nation as a whole loses 3.7 Billion per year.  1.4 billion in remediation costs for classes at the college level and 2.3 billion in lost wages.
