New York Times Out with a John McCain article saying that John wants a limited government role in the U.S. educational system. John would like to see bonus pay for teachers who raise student achievement or who take jobs in hard-to-staff schools.

New York Times with an article on Barack Obama and his views on the educational system. He wants to spend more money on early childhood classes, teacher recruitment, performance pay and dozens of other initiatives.

like to pass a bill that would give college students a tax credit worth 4 grand if they work 100 hours of community service. The campaign said this will cost 10 billion bucks a year.

Although this is a nice idea, this is total chump change for a lot college grads who rack up 30 grand or more in debt.
