The group looked at kindergarten schools in New York City and LA and found more time was spent on math and literacy than on play.
They found for both cities that daily time spent on test prep was over 20 minutes a day, 45 plus minutes a day on math, 75 plus minutes a day for literacy.
Included in the report is a list of 12 different types of play
with the first draft of the common core standards for students.
