If you look at the top 50 list you see a few common things in it. Exclude the military schools and almost every single school on the list has a tuition over 40 grand a year. Some of the top schools have the highest endowments even after the stock market collapse and a bunch of the private schools on the list had student populations under 1 grand.

If you did look the top 25 public schools you did see most of the colleges around the 20 grand mark for tuition.

Some results from the survey:

Around 66% of parents says that volunteerism is more important than ever.

53% of parents says they plan to volunteer at their kids school. A whopping 37% more African Americans say they plan to volunteer at their kids school this year.

Around 60% of parents says that education cuts will effect the quality of education

Around 25% of parents say they have re-considered where their child goes to school.
