is out with a report looking at AP classes.

51 high schools in a few states got expanded money for AP classes and in a two year period 65% more students, 3,000 plus as a number, wound up taking an AP class.

One state they do take a look at with a map is Arkansas where the AP participation grew big time.

College Board Is Out With A Brief…

looking at college debt levels.

The report does show that biggest increase in debt over the past few years from for-profit schools. The average debt did not go up much at over the past few years at four year public and private colleges.

They also say that 41% of all college grads have no debt when they graduate.

USA Today Is Back Again….

with an article looking at the shortage of school nurses in the USA. USA TODAY analysis of U.S. Census data from the years of 2005 to 2007 suggests that each school nurse cares, on average, for 971 students. In 13 states though the ratio is more than 2,000 to 1.

on some people that are worried that a high school student in the state is going to load up on PE or band classes as electives in order to graduate from college.

They can always write up a new bill forcing limits on how much PE and band they could take.
