The American Civil Liberties Union Of Michigan Is Out With….

a report looking at school suspensions in the state. This report finds that African-American students in the state in some school districts wind up getting suspended at a disproportionately high rate relative to their representation in the school population.

They showcase some of these suspension which to9 me are pretty lame.

The AP, New York Times, and the USA Today are all reporting on the President and the Education Secretary making a move to cut down the time to fill out the FAFSA form. Moves will include an online form, and junking many questions on the form.

The Boston Globe reports on Harvard University that is letting go of 275 workers and workers that are stunned by this news.

The AP and Star Tribune report on the University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents that has approved a budget.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports on the local community colleges in the area trying to meet demand.

The Detroit News reports on the state senate voting to eliminate the Michigan Promise Scholarship.

The Hartford Courant reports on University of Connecticut President Michael Hogan that is not going to take a pay raise and wants other staff members to do the same.
