13 states specify that teachers who have been rated unsatisfactory multiple times should be eligible for dismissal. 26 states though require that teachers who receive even one unsatisfactory evaluation are placed on an improvement plan.
22 states will permit teachers to remain in the classroom for three years or more without passing licensing tests, but seven states force are test be completed before going in the classroom.
The best state they looked at was South Carolina with a B- grade. 6 states got a 6, 8 states got a C-, and the rest got a D+ or worse with 6 states getting an F rating.
