and a whopping 49 states got an F rating on college affordability. Only California was able to get a C rating. New York though was the only other state to wind up improving in college affordability while still getting a F grade.

They say that since 1982 college tuition and fees went up 439% while medical care came in second place at 251%.

On other categories such as participation, and completion a some states were able to get A ratings.

I will say this though, if they did just a look at in-state tuition as a separate calculation you certainly will get more states not getting that F rating.

is out with a report looking at College teachers that are part timers. They report that in the fall of 2005 around 50% of the teachers were part timers at public institutions if you exclude gradate employees.

They show one chart where a massive gain in part time teachers occurred from the fall of 1987 to the fall of 1992.

The report says that in the 2004-2005 school year over 499 Billion bucks was spent on the educational system.

The report says that massive changes need to take place in how schools get funded.

The people behind the report want to see school districts get paid by amount of students they get. They would also like to see incentives for innovation.
