on elite students at colleges in California having to go on public welfare in order for them to have medical care.

I do not see why Standford who has a 17.2 billion dollar endowment does not offer a basic health care plan. It would not even cost them 10 million a year for a low end plan for graduate students.

out looking at the International Math Olympiad and a couple of math contests.

They focus big time on the IMO and girls in the competition. They show very few girls from the USA take part in it. They say that the girls are just as good as the boys in math.

In they end they give out some proposals. They want improve the public perception of math through the news media. They want math courses taught as early as the sixth grade by math certified teachers. They want more schools created in the USA that can deal with the super smart math kids. They would like to see more participation by students in math camps.

that he will leave his job if it is found out that an administrator changed a grade of an F to an A in a math class in order for him to still play on the foot ball team.

The article says that the player in question has missed 66 of 90 sessions of the math class. It also says that this student needed to get two grades of B or better in summer school to even be able to play sports.
