that are now missing NCLB AYP goals. One state they focus on is California.
They have found more schools this year are not meeting goals than last year.
Earlier this year I reported on a report where 23 schools have backloaded AYP gains. California is on the list.

The Detroit News reports on this unique program where teenagers learn about finances.
Students are payed a pretend salary based on the grades they get in school. Students must pay pretend rent, utilities and other bills from their salaries they get.

at striking teachers in Mexico. The teachers still want to hold the power selling their jobs or giving them to their children.
Mexico wants teachers to pass an exam before they can even get hired.
I am siding with Mexico on this one even if a teaching job in Mexico pays a good salary in a poor area of the country.
