The Associated Press reports on this new charter school that has nothing but boys in it. 270 of them are starting out with another 100 of them on a a wait list.

Commission On Teacher Credentialing Out….

with a report looking at California teachers. They are mainly looking at teachers that are teaching out of field.

Between the years of 1999-2003 and the years of 2003-2007 saw a massive jump in teachers teaching out of field, but the report does say that a change in method of reviewing English learner assignments may have resulted in the higher percentage of reported misassignments found in the 2003-2007 cycle.

Out of the over 22,000 teachers teaching out of field in the 2003-2007 year bracket, over 50% of them were teaching English learner assignments. It was only 16% doing it in the years of 1999-2003.

New Study On Math Homework Is Out….

and it says that more math homework helps out students at the high-end and the low-end of the academic levels, but does not help so much the students in the middle.
