They that public colleges in one year spend 2.3-2.9 billion bucks a year on remedial classes for college students. That is assuming an average of 2 remedial classes taken by one student.

59% of high school students said that classes were either too easy or somewhat easy.

They also look at some states and the remediation rates they have along with any policies they have for colleges.
