College Board Out With New Reports….

just looking at student aid for college students and recommendations for changes they would like to see.

They want federal grant aid along with a reasonable amount of loans and work to cover four years of college.

They want federal aid that is provided as clearly, transparently, and simply as possible.

They want a simple form you have to fill out that will authorize the IRS to send tax information to the Department of Education instead of the FASFA.

They would like to see Pell Grant money index to the CPI.

They want to see a federal version of a 529 plan.

I agree with them on having a simple form to fill out. Yearly increases to Pell Grant money is a nice thing, that can easily lead to colleges jacking up prices at a faster rate. I like the idea for a federal version of the 529 plan.
