with a report looking at suspended kids in the Connecticut. A grand total of 41,227 suspensions occurred in the 2006-2007 school year.

They say in the 2006-2007 school year on any given day 4,100 students were suspended.

The lower the social economic ladder the school district the more suspensions you got.

Around 66% of the suspensions were for “school policy violations.”

Black and Hispanic students were suspended far greater than Whites and Aisians.

15% of special education students got suspended while only 6% of regular education kids did.

Ninth grade saw the highest amount of suspension, then it dropped to a lower number in 10th 11th, and 12th grade.

is now going to offer an eighth grade PSAT exam and some other tests. The exams will help them get ready for selecting tougher courses in college.

Governor Deval Patrick Of Massachusetts….

wants the state pension fund to invest 50 million and wants other colleges in the state to spend more money on college students to pay for tuition. He wants this in order to replace the 400 million plus the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority is not going to be able to hand out to 40,000 college students.
