The report showcases a bunch of charter schools and what they have done with the extra school time.

The second report looks at the cost to do expanded learning time.

American Association Of School Administrators Survey….

out on 546 school districts and rising energy costs.

Some results from the survey:

15% of school districts have eliminated bus routes for the next school year.

44% have cut back on school field trips for the next school year.

37% are cutting back on heating and air conditioning for the next school year.

11% have initiated a hiring freeze for the next school year.

15% are considering moving to a four-day school year for the next school year.

CSAP Scores Are Out….

and the results for the whole state of Colorado are flat. In grades three through 10 11 exams had score increases while seven exams had drops in scores.

The local Denver area though saw a whole bunch of good gains.
