just having the TV on can be distracting to kids. The 1-3 year-olds in the study were in a room for an hour with the TV on. The kids watched the show, Jeopardy, in snippets. The people used that show since they thought it would be uncomprehensible to the kids.

The Sacramento Bee reports on this special school where the students at this work at an entry level job to pay for tuition to go to school. The school could shut down due to not enough of the students getting jobs.
