New AP Poll Out On Education….

Some results from the poll:

79% of the general population feel that education is at least a very important issue.

54% of the general population feel the quality of education is at least good in their local area.

78% of the general population feel that overcrowding is at least a somewhat serious problem.

87% of the general population feel that getting and keeping good teacher is a somewhat serious problem.

66% of the general population feel that outdated textbooks is a somewhat serious problem.

38% of the general population feel more times needs to be spent on math. That got the highest response.

out with a report looking at a universal pre-k program in Tulsa Oklahoma. The report showcases that the universal program does work and improves performance for kids even the native Spanish speaking kids.

MDRC Report On Career Acadamies…

is out. The main charts in this report look at the differences in salary students in the career academies got after going to high schools versus the ones that did not.

In years 1-4 for both sexes it was closer in terms of wages received, then it expanded to a much great difference in years 4-8. The females had much shorter gaps in wages than the males, but the career academies won out all the time.

Tennessee Board Of Regents Has Voted….
