The Wake County School Board….

is not happy at all about the amount of money they are going to get for funding the school system. They got 36 million less than what they wanted. The School Board are warning they’d have to make cuts that could hurt students and employees and not offer much for anticipated new programs dut to not enough funding.

looking at the SAT exam.

One Looks at how well the SAT exam predicts first year GPA average in college. I really could not major difference between the SAT exam and the high school GPA average.

The other one looks at prediction in college admission..

These are two very boring to look at reports.

California Legislative Analyst’s Office Out….

with a report looking at California community college students. The report says that 2.6 million students are apart of the California Community College system.

They say that many students that are labeled as underprepared are not required to take remedial classwork in a certain time frame. That is a complete no-no.

They say that only 60% complete with a C grade or better a basic skills class in English while only 50% can do the same thing math. The report says that only 50% of people in these basic skills classes return for a second year of schooling.
