The Houston Chronicle reports on this school district and the school libraries they have searching through the materials they have to get rid of the out of date or dog-eared materials.

is out looking at high school graduation rates at the 50 biggest cities in the USA.

They list an average graduation rate of 51.8% with Mesa Arizona and San Jose at the top and Detroit at the very bottom. I have reported before on Detroit’s awful graduation rate.

In another table they showcase around 35% gaps in the graduation rate between the Urban and Suburban school districts in a city. That is sure some massive gaps.

The report does get into some extra detail on just 4 cities. They include Miami Florida, New York City, Baltimore Maryland, and Dallas Texas.

on hybrid instruction is out from Advances in Physiological Society. In the study he did one class with only in-class instruction and the other class had both in-class instruction and online instruction.

Based on his scoring calculations the students that had both the in-class instruction and online instruction scored 10% better.

and is going to force all states to calculate the high school graduation rate using one single formula.
