A Couple Pieces Of Commentary To Read…

Okay I do not post links to commentary on this website on a daily basis, but today I found two of them I really liked.

One is written by Steven Roy Goodman and he looks at the move by Harvard to lower tuition rates. I liked the section on the mail he received. Saying that you have a 1 Billion endowment and you still need more money is just crazy.

The other one is written by Peter W. Fulham who writes that the SAT exam has to go. I did not fully like his SAT fix, but I loved the rest of it.

The New York Times Look At Schools In Japan….

that are Indian international schools. The article states that applications from Japanese parents are soring at these schools because these schools are teaching information at a much faster rate than traditional Japanese schools.

I am going to have to say that this is nuts. I do not think that every single in these special schools can even hold up to amount of learning that would go on at such an early age.
